Our activities

Public Institution Galimybių dirbtuvės helps people with intellectual disabilities to find themselves at work. We make our dreams and wishes come true. When we talk to businesses, we always ask what kind of work or service we could do for you. We are introducing and successfully implementing a new approach to helping people with intellectual disabilities. We help them to help themselves – to earn a living and to feel like a valued member of society. We help businesses to meet the increasingly complex challenges of the labour market. We can offer a highly experienced and well-established team for a wide range of project, seasonal and other work.

Our priorities:

Safety.

Our experience has made it possible to reliably assess how and what jobs people with intellectual disabilities can undertake. We have developed specific expertise and know-how to ensure a high level of safety. If work safety is a high priority for your company, we are like-minded – we can work together!

Quality.

Professional social workers ensure the quality of our work, not only by helping people with disabilities with their work tasks, but also by ensuring their safety throughout the factory.

Success.

If you want to help, give a fishing rod, not a fish – many people have heard this saying. And we can tell you – it works in practice! And yet – a fishing rod has two ends. So in our case, the benefits are mutual. For the business, it’s flexibility, responsiveness and reliability in dealing with work capacity issues. And for people with disabilities, the Workshop of Opportunities offers much more than just economic benefits (which are of course very important). It is about life-enriching experiences, being in the community and, most importantly, the sense of self-worth and dignity that comes from being able to earn one’s own income.

Mission. Vision. Values.

Mission. The Social Workshop is a place for people with intellectual disabilities to grow and develop. We cooperate with socially responsible companies, for which we perform manual operations for an agreed remuneration. And not only that, but for anyone seeking a change in their life, we are a community with its own unique atmosphere. A space where we can express our thoughts and emotions. Together, we help people with intellectual disabilities to develop their work and social skills and become active participants in the labour market.

Vision. The aim of our organisation is to reduce social exclusion by providing an intermediary service to employ people with intellectual disabilities. These people need work in order to feel necessary and important, first and foremost in their own minds, and to become full participants in the labour market by earning a wage. The cooperating companies are satisfied with the speed and quality of the work. Happy citizens – happy society!

Values. Willingness to work and learn, community spirit and openness to change are the key qualities that help to build and grow a successful social workshop community.

We are always ready to welcome new participants and open to proposals from socially responsible companies.
