Public Institution Galimybių dirbtuvės provides social workshops for working-age people with intellectual disabilities, as part of the ESF-funded project “From Care to Opportunities: the Development of Community Services”. This project launched the second phase of the Transformation of Institutional Care, which started on 30 April 2020 and ended on 30 June 2023, i.e. the development of community-based services. Community-based services are a range of different forms and types of high-quality social, healthcare and other services provided in the community as an alternative to institutional care, ensuring that a person has the opportunity to live in the community and to receive specialised assistance in the community that meets the individual needs of the person, and promotes the independence, full participation in the community, and social inclusion of the recipients of the service.
The following activities are organised in the social workshop:
- Labelling;
- Preparation of products for production;
- Folding boxes;
- Packing;
